New Urwerk Watch: UR-110 Torpedo

The Urwerk UR-110 is a new watch which is the characteristic of satellite and has achieved great success of creation, insisting on the mission of indicating the time.

Crafted in a titanium and asymmetrical case measuring 47mm X 51mm X 16mm, the new UR-110 watch features skeleton dial, which is equipped with three arrow-shaped “torpedoes” pointers. On the dial, there is satellite complication with rotating hour/minute modules mounted on planetary gears. A “Day/Night” indicator helps keep track of changing time zones; “Oil Change” alerts the user when it is time for a service; and twin turbines on the back minimize wear in the automatic winding system.


In the UR-110, the time is always shown on the right side of the watch. The satellites follow a vertical line, graded from 0 to 60 minutes, in a downward motion. This ingenuity of UR-110 provides the convenience for users when reading the time without the need to pull a cuff or sleeve back.

Urwerk UR-110 Watch (structure)

This UR-110 watch is formed by several layers. The central carousel provides the stability and equilibrium; planetary gearing assures the parallel rotation of the three hour satellites; three counter-rotating hour modules are each mounted on a planetary gear.

Urwerk UR-110 Watch (caseback)

Turn over the back, the automatic winding which regulated by double turbines is locked by the titanium caseback. This new UR-110 timepiece torpedo is worn on a black leather strap.
